Checking Activity
This approximately 5 class day simulation (assumed 45 minute periods) will teach students all of the basics of managing a checking account with narrated VIDEO instructions for everything along the way (by me; 40+ minutes of video)! You can hand the files and video instructions (.mp4 video file) off to your students and they'll learn how to:
- Write Checks
- Make Deposits (and endorsements)
- Update their check register
- Reconcile their account
- And as a bonus they'll learn how to work with a spreadsheet including basic formulas and functions!
Includes: Instructor Key and Scoring Rubric, Student Files including the directions, spreadsheet, and narrated video instructions (40+ minutes of instructions broken up), and printable checks & deposit slips.
You can choose to do this activity all digitally (Touch-Free!) or you can print the checks and deposit slips to have the students complete these on paper to make it more realistic. This can be completed on a PC or a Chromebook!
